Lawrence is the Global Head of Value and Access, Rare Diseases at the Chiesi Group, where he provides leadership globally addressing the commercial and market access needs of marketed as well as candidate treatments for rare and ultra-rare diseases.
Lawrence has over 20 years of diverse experience in rare disease and primary care pharmaceutical/vaccine sales and marketing and has developed a reputation for being an effective leader, strategist, and planner.
His most recent rare disease experiences include leadership roles at Shire where he led the pre-launch global commercial planning in the disease areas of eosinophilic esophagitis and hereditary angioedema; and most recently at Rhythm Pharmaceuticals where he served as the VP, Global Launch Lead and was responsible for leading the launch strategy and developing solutions for physicians, including the launch of a genetic testing program.
Lawrence earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, a J.D. from Boston University, and an M. B. A. from Duke University. He has lectured on pharmaceutical marketing at several industry conferences. In his spare time, he enjoys travel, movies, and spending time with his wife and children.
