Jonathan Williams joined Chiesi USA in 2016 as Assistant Counsel, and advanced to Vice President, Legal Affairs & General Counsel in 2024. As the head of the legal department, Mr. Williams leads several strategic projects for Chiesi, including negotiating and integrating licensing deals, mergers, and acquisitions. He has also been a leader in managing litigation and advising senior management on complex legal matters. Prior to his career with Chiesi, Mr. Williams served as an associate with Ropes & Gray, LLP in Boston, MA, where he practiced in the Life Sciences and Private Equity groups. Before attending law school, he worked in communications and public affairs in Washington, D.C.

In addition to his professional experience, Mr. Williams also actively engages in many Chiesi in the Community initiatives such as Children’s Flight of Hope.

Mr. Williams earned a Juris Doctor, from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he graduated cum laude. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Jenkins Graduate School of Business at North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy from the University of Virgina (UVA). At UVA, he trained in marketing, accounting, finance, and management with the McIntire Business Institute. He also completed an international executive management program with SDA Bocconi School of Management.
